NORTH CAROLINA – Shiloh Reformed Church in Faith, NC, is seeking a Part-time Organist.  QUALIFICATIONS:  (1) Must be able to follow the conducting and direction of the Minister of Music. (2) Must be able to read and play piano and organ music. (3) Must be willing to play an electronic organ. (4) Music Degree preferred but not required.  RESPONSIBILITIES include:   (1) The Organist will play for all church services, regular or special as determined by the Pastor and/or Consistory. (2) The Organist will play for the funerals of all church members for additional compensation.  If not available, the Organist will assist in securing a substitute.   (3) The Organist will accompany all adult choir rehearsals.  (4) If the Organist is unavailable due to illness or vacation, the Organist will work with the Minister of Music or the Chairperson of the Music Committee to secure a substitute.  (5) The Organist will work with the Minister of Music in planning the music for the church year.  (6) Attendance at staff meetings is preferable. (7) Playing for weddings is not part of the Organist job description; however, the organist may be hired to play for a wedding for an agreed upon fee. (7) The Organist may purchase music with the approval of the Minister of Music.  Music purchased with church funds will be the property of the church.  (8) The Organist will serve as an ex-officio (nonvoting member of the Music Committee.
